White Nile Health Minister Inspects Medical Supplies and Vows Sustained Drug Availability

The Minister of Health of White Nile State, Dr. Al-Zein Saad, visited the National Medical Supplies Fund, accompanied by the State Branch Director, Dr. Hassan Osman Hassan, and the Financial Director, Abdulrahman, to assess the extent of the damage and the administration’s efforts in reconstruction.

The delegation was received by the Director General of the National Medical Supplies Fund, Dr. Badr El-Din Al-Jazouli. A joint meeting was held in the presence of department directors, during which they discussed issues related to pharmaceutical supply in the state, as well as the challenges and obstacles affecting workflow, in addition to ways to enhance drug supply stability.

The Minister expressed his pleasure at visiting the Medical Supplies Fund, describing it as the largest institution concerned with the pharmaceutical sector in the country. He praised its resilience and swift return to operations despite the scale of destruction it had suffered, attributing this to the dedication and hard work of its staff. He also highlighted the important role played by regional operations rooms in ensuring the availability of medicines and providing ideas and solutions, especially under the exceptional circumstances experienced by the state and the increasing number of displaced persons it has received.

The Minister affirmed his commitment to working towards stabilizing pharmaceutical supply and ensuring the sustainable availability of medicines for citizens.

The Director General of the National Medical Supplies Fund, Dr. Badr El-Din Al-Jazouli, commended the efforts of White Nile State in delivering health services during the war period, noting its geographical location adjacent to Kordofan and Darfur states and the additional burdens this has created. He also praised the significant role played by the State Minister of Health in managing the situation and addressing the challenges.
