Secretary General of the NSWF Provides Support to Gezira, Affirms Completion of Digital Transformation
The Secretary General of the National Students Welfare Fund (NSWF) affirmed the Fund’s commitment to balancing services for students and staff, noting that the institution has developed new strategic plans aimed at improving and enhancing student services across all states.
During his meeting with the Executive Office in Gezira State, he explained that the Fund is working to utilize students’ energies in productive projects and leverage their talents and diverse activities, while simultaneously continuing to complete digital transformation programs and modernize services.
He commended the significant efforts made by staff in reconstruction and maintenance operations following liberation, expressing appreciation for Gezira State’s hosting of the General Secretariat during the war. He affirmed that the Fund will live up to the expectations of government entities, represented by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
He indicated that the Board of Trustees approved all submitted regulations, announcing the allocation of a sewage tanker, six vehicles, and funds to address the state’s challenges, in addition to organizing a training course on digital transformation programs.
For his part, the Director of the State Affairs Department, Qamar al-Anbiya Ali Hassan, reviewed several issues related to addressing the problems of the Al-Hasahisa and Al-Manaqil housing complexes. He emphasized the importance of regulating housing through the enforcement of regulations, providing transportation, settling outstanding employee entitlements, and activating student services within the complexes.
In turn, the Secretary of Gezira State, Mirghani Ali Abdul Rahman, presented a detailed overview of the situation in the state. He discussed the reconstruction and maintenance efforts undertaken since liberation, the environmental sanitation campaigns implemented in the housing complexes, and the rehabilitation and recovery of looted property.
He also noted the efforts made to regularize employee leave, implement training courses for productive projects, provide various incentives, and continue the digital transformation program.
He added that the state’s most pressing needs include providing mobile service vehicles and ambulances, in addition to settling employee entitlements. He then presented a detailed overview of the conditions of the complexes and units affiliated with the Fund within the state.
In the same context, the head of the Sudanese Students’ Union, Adel Araki, emphasized the importance of Gezira State as a pivotal state after Khartoum, noting the Fund’s participation in the Battle of Dignity and the role of productive projects in supporting stability and the continuation of the educational process.
He added that the stability of studies was a result of close coordination among the relevant authorities, calling for the activation of productive projects and the enhancement of services provided to students in various residential complexes.
