PM Emphasizes the Necessity of National Unity and Support for the Armed Forces in the Battle for Dignity

Prime Minister Kamil Idris emphasized the necessity of national unity and a strong home front, and of standing with the armed forces in the “Battle for Dignity” to achieve security and stability throughout the country.

During his meeting Wednesday with Sheikh Musa Hilal, head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, the Prime Minister offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs of the Battle for Dignity across Sudan, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded and the safe return of the missing.

For his part, Sheikh Musa Hilal explained in a press statement that the meeting addressed national issues and the current challenges facing the country, noting the ability of the Sudanese people and their leadership to overcome the current crisis and move forward towards achieving stability and development.

Sheikh Musa Hilal reiterated his support for the armed forces in the battle of dignity against the Rapid Support Forces militia, stressing the ability of the Sudanese people to challenge and stand firm against the schemes led by the UAE, Ethiopia and some regional countries, calling on them to review their positions and respect the sovereignty of Sudan.
