Major Technical Interventions Begin to Rehabilitate Vital Facilities at El Geneina Teaching Hospital

El Geneina | West Darfur State
As part of its professional responsibility to restore the efficiency of the health sector, the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) has announced the launch of an urgent intervention plan to rehabilitate key departments at El Geneina Teaching Hospital. The initiative aims to enhance the effectiveness of medical services and ensure their continuity for citizens in West Darfur State.
The technical intervention package currently being implemented by specialized teams includes:
Renal Dialysis Unit Rehabilitation: Conducting comprehensive maintenance and providing new dialysis machines to serve patients across the state.
Medical Infrastructure Development: Rehabilitating the Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Units, as well as upgrading the central laboratory with essential diagnostic equipment.
Environmental Health Improvements: Implementing fundamental solutions to improve the hospital’s sanitation and sewage systems, ensuring a safe treatment environment.
These efforts stem from the ethical principles upon which SAPA was founded, as restoring and rehabilitating damaged healthcare facilities is considered both a professional duty toward the community and a critical step toward establishing health stability in the region.
