Khartoum State Ministry of Social Development Launches Training of Trainers (TOT) Course in Family Counseling for Psychosocial Researchers

The Khartoum State Ministry of Social Development, represented by its Director General and Acting Minister, Siddiq Hassan Freini, has launched a Training of Trainers (TOT) course in family counseling targeting psychosocial researchers from the General Administration of Women and Family.

Freini emphasized that psychosocial support is the fundamental pillar and a key entry point for rebuilding the social fabric and addressing the psychological damage caused by the consequences of war. He urged the researchers to fully absorb the outcomes of the workshop and apply its guidelines in strengthening community concepts, while preserving Sudan’s authentic and positive traditions as a safeguard for society. He also stressed the importance of activating recovery plans that begin at the family level and extend to comprehensive community recovery.
For her part, Khadija Fath Al-Rahman, representative of the General Administration of Women and Family, explained that the course aims to equip researchers with modern skills to address emerging social challenges and promote positive community behavior.
