Khartoum Governor inspects efforts to bring the Al-Muqran water station to its maximum capacity

As part of his inspection tours to assess the conditions of water stations, the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, today inspected the progress of work to complete the rehabilitation of the Al-Muqran Water Station in Khartoum. This station was one of the most severely damaged by militias. The inspection was attended by the Director of Stations at the State Water Authority and the Director of the Al-Muqran Station. The Governor reviewed the efforts being made to increase the station’s productivity and directed the Authority and the station’s management to expedite the process of bringing the station back to full capacity before Eid. He affirmed the state’s commitment to providing generators and diesel fuel during this period, in addition to all necessary support to ensure a continuous water supply. Meanwhile, the station’s director, Engineer Sayed Ahmed Mohamed Al-Sharif, reassured residents in the station’s vicinity that operations were running smoothly, except for fluctuations in the electricity supply, for which the Governor promised a permanent solution. He pointed to the extensive damage the station sustained during the war, noting that thanks to the efforts of the staff, current production has reached 85,000 cubic meters today, out of a maximum capacity of 135,000 cubic meters. The Authority stated that the station aims to produce 100,000 cubic meters before Eid and will reach its maximum capacity after the holiday.
