Important Notice from the Khartoum State Government

Khartoum State Currency Replacement Committee, chaired by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, announces that the last day to exchange the old 500 and 1000 Sudanese pound notes is next Friday, May 15, 2026.

Citizens are urged to deposit the old currency into their bank accounts at banks operating in Khartoum State. Those who do not have bank accounts are advised to open them as soon as possible and follow these procedures to protect their rights from being lost.
