Economic Development Sector Approves Organizational and Functional Structure of the Taxation Chamber

The Economic Development Sector of the Council of Ministers approved today (Thursday) the organizational and functional structure of the Taxation Chamber, as presented by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Moatasim Ahmed Saleh.
Saleh stated on his Facebook page that the proposal was approved after extensive discussion, particularly as it focused on improving institutional performance and addressing functional bottlenecks.
He pointed out that the proposal aims to keep pace with digital transformation and expand tax operations in a way that enhances collection efficiency and strengthens the effectiveness of tax administration.
The Minister of Human Resources added that the meeting also discussed a report presented by the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation on the ongoing arrangements and preparations for the success of the summer agricultural season, considering it one of the key pillars for achieving food security and supporting the national economy.
Saleh noted that building efficient institutions, along with supporting productive sectors, represents two fundamental pillars in the path of economic reform and the achievement of stability and sustainable development.
