A high-level diplomatic source revealed intensive efforts by the so-called “Quintet Mechanism” to convene an international conference on June 3rd and 4th in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. The conference is expected to include approximately 40 participants representing the “Berlin Group,” youth and women’s groups, the Abdul Wahid Mohamed Nour Movement, and the “Sumud” coalition. The first day’s agenda includes meetings between Sudanese factions, followed on the second day by discussions of a document dubbed the “Declaration of Political Principles.”

The source confirmed that this conference, cloaked in a consultative guise, is a blatant attempt to lure national forces into a forced rapprochement with the rebel militia. The source indicated that the choice of Addis Ababa carries negative implications, given its hostile stance, especially since the Ethiopian capital will simultaneously host a parallel meeting between the “Founding” group and

“Steadfastness”. This reveals a premeditated plan to circumvent established national positions.

The diplomat warned of the extreme danger inherent in these moves, which directly seek to impose dubious solutions under international and regional auspices and implement plans with known objectives. These moves also aim to reinstate the “Steadfastness” bloc and the Dagalo terrorist militia into the political arena, granting them legitimacy to once again seize control of the country. The ultimate goal is to fragment and dismantle national unity as a fundamental prerequisite for implementing this agenda.
