Sudan Participates in the World Bank and IMF Summer Meetings in Washington

As part of strengthening international partnerships, a new proposal to support the national economy is being presented by Advisor Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daim, Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, who is participating in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the IMF, held in Washington, D.C., from April 13-18, 2026.
Advisor Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daim indicated that Sudan’s vision for economic reform is based on increasing production and exports and empowering the private sector, especially since meetings with international financial institutions represent an opportunity to showcase promising investment opportunities at the beginning of production.
Sudan’s initiative this year, with a technical delegation from the Ministries of Finance and the Central Bank of Sudan, underscores the government’s commitment to its economic success program and its openness to the international community. They are looking to explore particularly prominent global economic models, focusing on countries’ interests, especially in supporting development programs and projects. This highlights the need for sustainable development initiatives addressing children’s issues and for coordinating efforts among influential experts.
In addition, they are exchanging experiences with companies like Calvulcan, demonstrating the government’s outstanding digital transformation, attracting quality investments, and reaffirming Sudan’s potential to return as a promising partner.
Ms. Amina Mirghani, Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, is also participating in the meetings, which are part of a comprehensive framework of engagement among participants and initiatives aimed at supporting the stability of the Sudanese economy.
This participation reflects Sudan’s strong engagement in international economic forums, and its diligent efforts have contributed to mobilizing reconstruction and humanitarian aid.
