Prime Minister Receives Governor of Darfur Region

In his office in Khartoum on Tuesday afternoon, Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris Al-Sayed met with the Governor of Darfur Region, Mr. Minni Arko Minnawi. The meeting addressed the fundamental and pressing issues posed by the current challenges facing the country.

In a press statement, the Governor of Darfur Region explained that the meeting discussed urgent humanitarian issues and related international interactions, as well as the importance of developing a strategic vision for achieving a sustainable and comprehensive peace in the coming phase.

Mr. Minni Arko Minnawi indicated that the meeting addressed the administrative and practical aspects of implementing the Juba Peace Agreement, noting that the meeting affirmed the necessity of expediting the enactment of the law regulating the Darfur Regional Government as soon as possible.
