Minister of National Education and Training: Successful Conclusion of the Sudanese Certificate Examinations with Wide National Participation

Minister of National Education and Training, Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zein Hajar, stated that the Sudanese Certificate examinations concluded yesterday in a stable environment and proceeded smoothly as planned, both within and outside Sudan.

He explained that the number of students who sat for the exams reached 564,000, distributed across 3,333 centers inside and outside Sudan. He emphasized that these examinations represent “a battle for dignity” and a major educational epic in which all the people of Sudan participated, including teachers, administrators, and security forces.

He pointed out that this success was a result of the meticulous planning, organization, and thorough preparation undertaken by the General Administration of Sudanese Examinations, in addition to the significant efforts exerted by teachers, the role of security agencies, and all ministries and institutions that contributed to the success of the process. The Minister confirmed that the Ministry of Education has begun preparations for the next phase, which involves the marking and grading process, starting at the end of April, in anticipation of the results being announced. He added that the Ministry has completed all preparations for the examinations for refugee students in eastern Chad, scheduled for May 11th.

Al-Tuhami expressed his gratitude to the Presidency, the Council of Ministers, and all participating ministries, particularly the Ministries of Interior, Defense, Foreign Affairs, and Health, as well as the General Intelligence Service, for their role in securing the examinations.

He also commended the community initiatives that contributed to creating a suitable environment for students both inside and outside Sudan, most notably the “Waselni” – give me a lft – initiative, in addition to the efforts of the police and security services in the states.

The Minister praised the state governors and security committees, with special commendation for the states of North and South Kordofan, and all local administrations, for their role in supporting and ensuring the success of the examinations.

He also acknowledged the role of the print, broadcast, and online media, emphasizing that they are essential partners in the Emergency Room and the Media Committee, and have made a clear contribution to supporting the Ministry of National Education during the examination period.
