Jebel Aulia Dam Undergoes Intensive Maintenance in Preparation for the New Season

The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Irrigation, Engineer Daw Al-Bait Abdel Rahman Mansour, conducted a field visit to the Jebel Aulia Dam to inspect the progress of the annual maintenance work and ongoing restoration programs at the vital facilities.

The visit included monitoring the annual water release program for the dam’s reservoir, which began on March 15 and is scheduled to be completed on May 21, in preparation for the commencement of intensive maintenance work.

The maintenance work aims to enable technical teams to carry out necessary repairs, particularly the maintenance of the dam gates and the treatment of the western embankment, ensuring efficient operation.

Maintenance work is scheduled to begin immediately after the completion of the dam’s emptying, between May 21 and June 30, for a period of 41 days.

The Undersecretary of Irrigation emphasized the importance of adhering to the established timetable to ensure the dam’s readiness for the upcoming season, praising the efforts of the engineering and technical staff working on-site.
