IGAD Executive Secretary Warns of the Dangers of Misinformation

The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu, warned of the dangers of misinformation and fake news.

Speaking at the third Machakos Conference on African Security Cooperation yesterday, he said that misinformation, in light of escalating threats, necessitates sustained African cooperation to confront security risks and protect African security, stability, and peace.
