The Unit for Combating Violence against Women and Children salutes women all over the world, on the occasion of its International Day, and the great Sudanese women, in all parts of the dear country: in the countryside, cities, villages, villages and hamlets, in the displacement camps, and the refuges of exile, with the greetings of love, pride and pride, by the rare example, of steadfastness, sacrifice, perseverance and patience, in the face of the harshest and most violent violations that they have been subjected to, as a result of the unjust and brutal war of aggression, which broke out in April 2023, where they faced complications with their patience and struggle .

The attacks of this war and its aftermath, including killing, torture, rape, displacement, displacement, refuge and displacement, and the widowhood, orphans and deprivation suffered by women, girls and girls, and the various forms of violence they endured.

Recalling the pioneering roles and models that Sudanese women have presented throughout their history in various fields that have contributed to the development of society and the enrichment of public life, the Unit for Combating Violence against Women and Children affirms its full commitment, as a protection mechanism, concerned with preserving the rights of women, girls and children, in coordination to provide all supporting services to them, in order to address the effects of violence and aggression, and to build a more stable and developed future.

To this end, it will redouble its efforts in developing and enforcing integrated protection policies that are effective through institutions The state, and full participation with the community and its civil organizations, and the strengthening of cooperation and partnerships with regional and international institutions and organizations, to provide more projects, programs, and services that respond to the needs of women, provide means of protection, and social and economic stability.

If the slogan of the celebration of International Women’s Day 2026 is ” Giving for Gain “, which reinforces the value of cooperation for the empowerment of women in various fields, we at the Unit for Combating Violence against Women and Children, call for this year to be the giving of society, the state and partners, which rebuilds what was destroyed by the war, with stronger and more solid pillars of protection, so that they are not only a confrontation, but also a prevention for the future, so that women’s energies and determinations are active, prosperous, and bright in the present.
