PM Inspects Several Service Facilities in Port Sudan in Preparation for Opening
On his way back to Khartoum, His Excellency the Prime Minister, Professor Kamil Idris, inspected several service facilities in Port Sudan, the capital of Red Sea State, in preparation for their opening. He was accompanied by the Governor of Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, and the Prime Minister’s Advisor, Nizar Abdullah Mohamed.
His Excellency began his inspection tour at the Emergency, Trauma, and Critical Care Center in Port Sudan, the largest emergency center in Sudan, where he reviewed the efforts to rehabilitate and develop the center.
His Excellency the Prime Minister stressed the necessity of establishing the center as a national hub for emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and training. He directed that all necessary equipment be provided, including a CT scan room for stroke patients, and all other requirements to ensure comprehensive care in health emergencies. He also directed that the center be named the National Center for Emergency Medicine, Trauma, and Training.
In a related development, His Excellency the Prime Minister inspected the truck-mounted desalination plant in Port Sudan, a project undertaken in partnership with the King Salman Center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Excellency and his accompanying delegation reviewed the progress of work at the plant and its initial operational phase, in preparation for its official opening in the coming days. His Excellency expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its King, Crown Prince, government, and people, for the assistance provided by the King Salman Center to the plant.
The truck-mounted desalination plant is a vital project aimed at providing safe and clean drinking water to the city of Port Sudan. At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency the Prime Minister affirmed the Hope Government’s commitment to providing essential services, particularly in the water and health sectors. He pledged to address all deficiencies at the Emergency, Trauma, and Critical Care Center and the water desalination truck station, paving the way for their imminent opening so that these facilities can operate efficiently and fulfill their role in providing outstanding services.
