Musa Hilal Holds Abdelrahim Dagalo Responsible for “Mistariha” Events and Announces His Support for the Army

Head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, Sheikh Musa Hilal, accused the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Abdelrahim Dagalo, of direct responsibility for the bloody events that took place in “Mistariha” area, describing what happened as “systematic crimes” carried out under the direct supervision of RSF personnel.

Hilal strongly denied the accusations related to the involvement of the “Mahamid” tribe as an entity in the attacks, considering these claims baseless and aimed at evading legal responsibility.

In his statements, he confirmed that the operations targeting the region included drone strikes and the burning of homes and property, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children. He emphasized that those from the tribe who participated did so in their military capacity within the Rapid Support Forces, not as tribal representatives.

Musa Hilal issued a direct appeal to the Mahamid tribesmen and other tribal groups in Darfur, Kordofan, and Blue Nile, urging them to immediately withdraw from the ranks of the Rapid Support Forces and join the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Hilal justified his call by stating that there was no “just cause” for fighting within those forces, declaring the Revolutionary Awakening Council’s full support for Sudanese state institutions and the national army.

Hilal warned In concluding his remarks, he condemned attempts to incite discord and destabilize the social fabric through systematic disinformation campaigns, calling on all social groups to uphold unity and avoid being drawn into conflicts aimed at dismantling society.

These developments come amidst a state of sharp polarization and escalating field tensions witnessed in the Darfur region recently.
