Minnawi Announces New Forces Deployed for the Battle of Dignity

New batches of fighters have joined the ranks of the Battle of Dignity. These trained elements of the joint forces are now ready to participate in the ongoing military operations across the country.

The head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Minni Arko Minnawi, announced that the new fighters will immediately head to the battlefields. He indicated that the Kordofan axis will be at the forefront of the fronts where these forces will be deployed, given what he described as the decisive stages of the battles taking place there.

Minnawi pointed out that the signing of the peace agreement held great hopes for opening a new chapter of stability. However, subsequent developments have led to the continuation of the conflict, prompting the allied forces to prepare to fight in defense of their positions and areas of deployment.

Several regions in Sudan, particularly Kordofan, are witnessing ongoing military clashes in what is known as the “Battle of Dignity,” in which the army and its allied forces are engaged in confrontations with the Rapid Support Forces.

A military official emphasized that war was not their choice, but rather imposed upon them as a result of the circumstances and developments that Sudan has witnessed recently. He added that they had hoped that the peace agreements, especially the Juba Peace Agreement, would contribute to ending the suffering of civilians and the accompanying killings and forced displacement in the conflict zones.
