Enforcing State Authority in Khartoum and Implementing Security Plans for the Last Ten Days of Ramadan and Eid Holiday

Khartoum State Committee for Security and Enforcing State Authority held its fifth meeting, chaired by Lieutenant General Hassan Daoud Kabroun, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Committee. Also participating were Lieutenant General Babiker Samra Mustafa, Minister of Interior and Alternate Chairman of the Committee, and Lieutenant General Amir Abdel Moneim Fadl, Director General of Police Forces and Rapporteur of the Committee, along with the heads of the relevant subcommittees.

In a statement to the Police Press Office, the Minister of Defense, who also chairs the Committee, explained that the meeting discussed the subcommittees’ plans to secure the last ten days of Ramadan, as well as arrangements for securing the Eid al-Fitr holiday and areas where citizens gather. He noted that Khartoum State has become an attractive destination for citizens returning from both inside and outside Sudan.

He affirmed the continued operation of security cordons and checkpoints to eliminate all negative aspects, regulate the presence of undocumented foreigners, remove encroachments, and apprehend fugitives and criminals.

Lieutenant General Kabroun added that the Committee for the Removal of War Remnants continues its work in monitoring and uncovering violations. He appealed to citizens returning to Khartoum State to exercise caution when transporting rubble and debris, and to immediately report any suspected war remnants to the relevant authorities.

The Minister of Defense emphasized that the committee will spare no effort in creating the conditions necessary for the return of citizens to Khartoum State and ensuring their complete security and stability.
