Today, we were honored to share an Iftar meal with a group of artists, dramatists, and theater professionals—an integral part of Sudanese society who have played a vital role in shaping national consciousness and conveying the image of the nation and its cultural and humanitarian values. Artists and creators have suffered greatly since the outbreak of this accursed war, due to the cessation of cultural and artistic activity and the deterioration of living conditions. This has negatively impacted their lives, and we have even lost a number of them in tragic circumstances. This necessitates a serious commitment from the state and its institutions towards this segment of society, which represents a significant part of the Sudanese people’s conscience. During this meeting, we listened to their concerns and challenges, emphasizing our commitment to working to support them and provide all possible assistance and care, enabling them to continue their noble cultural and artistic mission. Artists and creators have always been the mirror of society and the voice of its conscience; they are the ones who bring smiles to the faces of our people despite the harshness of the circumstances. Therefore, supporting and caring for them is a national responsibility that rests on everyone’s shoulders. We pray that peace will prevail throughout our country and that Sudan will return to greater stability and prosperity so that its creators can continue their work. Their mission is to serve the nation and humanity.
