Cabinet Announces Eid al-Fitr Holiday

The General Secretariat of the Cabinet announced that the Eid al-Fitr holiday will begin on Thursday, March 19, 2026, and continue until Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Government employees will resume work on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in accordance with the regulations governing official working days and hours.

A circular issued by the General Secretariat of the Cabinet clarified that the Central Bank of Sudan will issue a directive to regulate banking operations during the holiday period.

The General Secretariat of the Cabinet extended its congratulations to the Sudanese people and Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, praying to God Almighty that it returns to the country while it enjoys security, peace, and stability.
