Army repels attack in southern Blue Nile, inflicting heavy losses on the attackers

The 4th Infantry Division Command announced on Sunday that it had repelled an attack targeting the Al-Kili area in southern Blue Nile State, as part of its mission to secure the region and protect citizens.

In a statement, it reported that the forces fought a decisive battle, demonstrating the highest levels of readiness and field valor.

The military operation resulted in the destruction of four Land Cruiser combat vehicles equipped with heavy weapons, including two DShK machine guns and two 23mm cannons.

Ninety-four members of the attacking militia were killed, and a number of others were captured.

The division’s leadership affirmed that this victory reflects the high competence of the armed forces and their ability to repel threats and secure their area of ​​responsibility, emphasizing that the Blue Nile region will remain impervious to any attempts to undermine its security and stability.

The leadership also reiterated its commitment to continuing the complete eradication of the rebellion from the region, calling on citizens to unite, remain vigilant, and disregard malicious rumors.
