An Official Visit from the United Nations Development Program UNDP to the National Medical Supplies Fund

The National Medical Supplies Fund (NMSF) received an official visit from the head of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Muna Shalita, during her first visit to the country after recently assuming her position. The purpose of the visit was to review the progress of work and follow up on the efforts to supply medicines, especially regarding the programs to combat tuberculosis and AIDS.

The visit included a field tour of the warehouses, where Shalita was briefed on the storage and distribution systems, supply mechanisms, and the challenges facing work under exceptional circumstances. She praised the efforts made to ensure the continuity of the supply of medicines.

For her part, Dr. Jamila Badr, Director of the General Directorate of State Affairs, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination in order to contribute to raising the efficiency of the supply chain and achieving sustainability in the provision of medicines in support of the health sector and serving the citizens.
