Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare inaugurates the Free Treatment Day at the Model Health Insurance Center in Al-Hasahisa

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Motasem Mohamed Saleh, inaugurated the Free Treatment Day at the Direct Model Center for Health Insurance in the city of Al-Hasahisa at the beginning of his visit to the state of Gezira, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Federal Zakat Bureau and the Director General of the National Fund for Federal Health Insurance. This was in the presence of Yasser Khader Nassar, Minister of Social Welfare in the State of Gezira, as well as the leaders of the state and officials of the health sector.

The Minister stressed that the launch of the Free Treatment Day represents a practical step towards expanding the scope of health services and localizing treatment in localities, in a way that contributes to alleviating the burdens on citizens and enhancing justice in accessing services.

For his part, Mortada Ismail Al-Baili, Governor of Al-Jazira State, welcomed the visit of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, stressing that the state continues to support health programs and develop medical institutions in line with the needs of citizens, especially under the current circumstances.

Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Dayem Omar, Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, confirmed that the institution is working according to a strategic plan to enhance comprehensive health coverage and expand the services of direct centers, with a focus on the quality of performance and technical transformation. He added that the Fund is committed to ensuring that health services reach those who deserve them efficiently and fairly, in coordination with state governments and relevant authorities.

Dr. Al-Amin Hussain Omar, Director of the National Health Insurance Fund branch in the state, said that health insurance services have returned to 75% of their activity, thanks to the effective partnership with the Ministry of Health in the state and the support of the state government. He indicated that work is ongoing to organize free treatment days in various localities.

He also announced the re-targeting of 23,034 beneficiaries of the social support segments guaranteed through the Zakat Bureau, in addition to the implementation of digital transformation in diagnostic laboratories and the modernization of the card system.
