Minnawi Breaks European Silence on the Situation in Sudan

In a meeting that brought together a select group of French, African, and Arab figures, the Governor of Darfur, Minni Arko Minnawi, participated in a hearing dedicated to presenting the facts surrounding the war in Sudan and the crimes committed by militias against civilians.

The attendees discussed the extent of the political and moral responsibility borne by the French government and European governments, emphasizing that the Sudanese tragedy demands a clear stance and practical action to put an end to human rights violations and stop the bloodshed.

Minnawi stressed that the international community’s silence is no longer acceptable, and that European powers must bear their historical and moral responsibility for what is happening in Sudan by supporting the peace process and protecting civilians from the war machine that is claiming lives and destroying communities.
