Khartoum Governor Inaugurates Martyr’s Mosque After Renovation

Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, inaugurated the Martyr’s Mosque and Complex on Nile Street in Khartoum after its renovation by the Khartoum State government. The mosque was particularly significant as it was the site of the Battle of Crossing the Bridges, where some of the nation’s finest sons were martyred.

The inauguration is part of the state government’s efforts to gradually restore normalcy and allow places of worship to resume their spiritual and social roles. The ceremony was attended by the State Police Director, Lieutenant General Siraj al-Din Mansour; the Director of the State Security Authority, Major General Hussein Nuwaya; the Ministers of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Mr. Tayeb Saad al-Din; the Minister of Social Development, Mr. Siddiq Ferini; the Executive Directors of Khartoum, Khartoum North, and Omdurman Localities; as well as religious and executive leaders, a large number of worshippers, and residents of the Al-Muqran neighborhood.
