GIS Calls for National Unity from Munich

The Deputy Director of the General Intelligence Service(GIS), Lieutenant General Abbas Mohamed, called for the unification of efforts and the consolidation of the national ranks of Sudanese expatriates, stressing the importance of involving all citizens, regardless of their backgrounds or affiliations, in the battle to build and preserve the state’s sovereignty.

This came during his remarks at a meeting between the Prime Minister and a delegation from the Sudanese Abroad Association (SADA), headed by Engineer Abubakr Shabo, the association’s president, in Munich.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Abbas emphasized that the combined efforts of Sudanese abroad represent a fundamental pillar for supporting the homeland amidst the current complexities and challenges targeting its stability.

The Deputy Director of GIS explained that the critical nature of the current stage necessitates unprecedented national cohesion, prioritizing the national interest above all narrow considerations. He noted that the Service encourages and supports all initiatives and programs aimed at strengthening national unity and reinforcing the expatriates’ connection to their homeland’s vital issues, thus contributing to the creation of a united front, both internally and externally, against threats.

In closing, Lieutenant General Abbas stressed the state institutions’ commitment to supporting every national effort aimed at stability and unity, calling on everyone to work with a spirit of national responsibility that reflects a deep understanding of the magnitude of the challenges.

He emphasized that rallying around the nation’s flag is the only guarantee for overcoming crises and moving forward in the process of building a strong and independent Sudanese state.
