Editorial: The Recovery of Sudanese Diplomacy

The speech of the Foreign Minister during the African Union Peace and Security Council meeting, chaired by Egypt, which marked Sudan’s first participation after the suspension of its membership, was balanced and firm, clearly addressing the period of suspension and emphasizing the just demand for its lifting. This step is a positive sign of the approaching end of the war and the return of civilian government to Khartoum, symbolizing the beginning of a new phase of Sudan’s recovery.

Today, the Sudanese diplomatic corps is moving confidently to restore its country to its rightful place within the African Union. The role in which Sudan has always been a leader is now showing signs of renewed vigor. The current phase requires an open vision and partnership with the world, along with a serious effort to regain its active presence in international organizations.

Despite the numerous challenges Sudan faces in this endeavor, such as attempts by some countries to exert influence through external forces pursuing their own interests, Sudan enjoys allies within the African Union, which strengthens its progress in the right direction.

Sudan is determined to confront all challenges, continuing its struggle until it fully regains its sovereignty and eliminates its enemies. With the ongoing victories, life is gradually returning to Khartoum, with the airport reopening and flights resuming. The capital also witnessed the arrival of the first train from Atbara, while institutions, ministries, factories, schools, universities, and banks are gradually resuming their operations. These strong indicators confirm the stability of the security and economic situation in the country.

Every new development reflects an optimistic message that Sudan is moving steadily towards recovery and rebuilding its state after the war.

In the near future, Sudan will return to its rightful place on the diplomatic map with a stronger and more prominent presence. All stakeholders will continue to work diligently to achieve national interests and guide the country towards a sustainable path of progress and development.

Despite the conspiracies being hatched against Sudan by some internal and external parties, supported by the UAE and some allies, Sudan’s resilience and strength have enabled it to overcome these obstacles with steadfastness.

Thanks to this unity and determination, victories are closer than ever, God willing.
