Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohammed Commends the People’s League Initiatives to Support Sudan’s Resilience

Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohammed Mohammed Taher, a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, met yesterday in her office with Lieutenant General Omar Ahmed Ibrahim Nimir, Chairman of the People’s League and Head of the Sudanese Initiative to Honor UN Agencies and Voluntary Organizations.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Omar Nimir reviewed the organization’s objectives and national activities, which focus on strengthening popular diplomacy and consolidating Sudan’s relations with sisterly and friendly countries. He highlighted initiatives launched by the organization under the slogan “Thank You,” such as “Thank You Russia” and “Thank You Eritrea,” in addition to efforts to support the war effort, unify the home front, and projects honoring the State of Kuwait, as well as the Sudanese-Qatari symposium to develop strategic relations between the two countries.

For her part, Dr. Nuwara commended the national role played by the organization, emphasizing the importance of public initiatives as a complementary tool to official diplomacy in building bridges of communication and strengthening common interests. She announced her full support for national organizations working to elevate Sudan and enhance its resilience in the face of current challenges.
