Director General of the Ministry of Social Development meets CARE Sudan delegation

The Director General of the Ministry of Social Development, Acting Minister Siddiq Hassan Freni, held a meeting in his office today with CARE Sudan, which included the coordinator of the Port Sudan office, to discuss the plan, objectives, and policies of the Ministry.

For his part, Freni stressed the importance of coordination between the ministry’s departments and the organization to follow up on the projects, pointing out the importance of involving other groups of people who have no support, those without family care, people with disabilities, and economic activists in collective production projects, as well as continuing women’s projects in addition to those returning to the state.

He thanked CARE for the efforts exerted. This came during his meeting with the organization’s delegation in the presence of the specialized departments to discuss the project of supporting women in the locality of Jabal Awliya, as well as the opportunities and challenges, and how to develop this model in the future, to evaluate the previous cash project and coordinate the mechanism of interventions for the next project.
