UN Resident Coordinator in Sudan, Denise Brown, Inspects Al Sarorab Hospital

The United Nations Resident Coordinator, Denise Brown, paid a field visit to Al-Sarorab Hospital in the northern countryside of Omdurman city to follow up on the progress of the implementation of the “SHARE” project, implemented by SAPA in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), with the aim of supporting and developing the health sector.

During the visit, Brown was briefed on the progress made within the hospital, appreciating the efforts made in maintaining and developing the operations department and improving the management of medical waste in accordance with health standards, as this has a direct impact on the quality of services and the safety of patients and staff.

The visit also discussed the challenges imposed by the war on the health system, stressing the importance of continued support and partnerships to ensure the sustainability of services and enhancetheir resilience.

SAPA reiterates its commitment to continue working with its partners to support health facilities and serve affected communities, believing that health promotion is a key step toward recovery.
