Sudan: Rapid Growth in Industrial Investment and Plans for Digital Transformation

The Secretary-General of the National Investment Authority, Ahlam Madani Sabil, announced that the Authority is preparing for its relaunch and return to Khartoum State, while maintaining its state-level offices to simplify and streamline procedures.
In press statements on Thursday following the closing sessions of the “Made in River Nile State” forum, Sabil explained that investment in the industrial sector is witnessing rapid growth in most areas, including food processing, pharmaceuticals, building materials, engineering, and chemicals, leading to increased employment for Sudanese nationals.
She noted that the war has created a reality that necessitates removing all obstacles, reassuring investors and businesspeople of the Sudanese government’s commitment to overcoming these difficulties. She also announced that the National Investment Authority will soon launch the “One-Stop Shop” network through digital transformation, making transactions electronic and linked to relevant entities, thus streamlining procedures and saving time.
The Secretary-General affirmed that the “Made in River Nile” forum embodied the meaning of successful investments that keep pace with the times, by highlighting the investment and industrial resources available in the state. The forum contributed to transforming River Nile State into a developed industrial hub and promoting its potential, thus supporting its pivotal role in the national economy.
She expressed her hope that the forum would produce recommendations that benefit the economy and the people of the state, especially as it is considered an important promotional event for the various resources available in the region.
