Sudan Participates with a High-Level Official Delegation in the International Mining Conference in Riyadh

Sudan is participating with a high-level official delegation in the International Mining Conference, hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh, from January 13 to 15. The conference is witnessing broad participation from ministers, decision-makers, and major international companies operating in the mining sector.

The Sudanese delegation is headed by the Minister of Minerals, Professor Nour Al-Daem Taha, accompanied by a technical delegation led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Hind Siddiq, along with the Director General of the General Authority for Geological Research, Geological Consultant Ahmed Haroun Al-Toumi, the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Taher Omar, and the Director of the Single Window for Gold Exports, in addition to representatives from several national mining companies and a group of businessmen and investors.

Sudan’s participation in the forum comes within the framework of strengthening its regional and international presence, showcasing investment opportunities in the minerals sector, and exploring prospects for cooperation and partnerships with international entities, based on its diverse mineral resources and promising mining potential.

For the first time, Sudan is participating in the accompanying exhibition with a pavilion that includes units from the Ministry of Minerals, along with a number of private sector companies. The pavilion will showcase investment opportunities, geological data, and economically viable mining projects.

The Future Minerals Forum is a leading international platform dedicated to discussing issues related to mineral value chains, supply sustainability, and the role of minerals in supporting energy transition and economic development. It features broad participation from governments, international institutions, and major global mining companies.
