Musa Hilal Accuses RSF of Assassinating Hemedti’s Advisor

Sheikh Musa Hilal, leader of the Mahamid tribe and head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, offered his condolences for those he referred to as “family members” who were killed in the Al-Firdous area of ​​Central Darfur State last week.

In a speech delivered to a gathering of his forces, he stated that this incident had many underlying causes, denying any involvement of the Revolutionary Awakening Council. He added that the results would become clear and that local committees had begun investigating the matter.

A drone targeted a gathering of leaders from the Revolutionary Awakening Council, which had broken away from Hilal’s faction. The drone resulted in the death of Hamid Ali Abu Bakr, a member of the Mahamid tribe led by Hilal, who served as a security advisor to the commander of the Rapid Support Forces militia, alongside Major General Ramadan Salem, the commander of the breakaway Awakening forces.

He added, “Everything being said is a lie. We are all searching for the perpetrator of this atrocity against our people in the Al-Firdous area.

“The blood of our people cannot be shed in vain.” Hilal said.

He continued, “The lies they spread are intended to incite discord among us. God willing, this discord they sought to ignite will be extinguished. It will be extinguished by the truth.
Our people must unite, even those who accuse us, so that the blood of our people is not spilled in vain.
We have placed the initial accusation against the Rapid Support Forces.”

He went on to say, “All the evidence, with a 75% probability, indicates that the Rapid Support Forces committed this crime.
This is an assassination, and it is not the first time they have committed such an act.

He said, “After this strife ends, we will deliver a speech to the Sudanese nation in the coming days, and this message will reach the Sudanese leadership and even the outside world.”
