Ministerial Decree Establishing a Federal Youth Entity

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed, issued Ministerial Decree No. (1) of 2026 today (Wednesday), establishing a new youth entity called the “Sudanese Authority for Development and Sustainable Growth.”

According to a press release, the decree aims to organize and develop the active role of Sudanese youth, considering them the most vital segment of society and the most deserving of care and empowerment in the development process.

The decree stipulates the formation of a founding council for the Authority, which will be announced in a supplementary decree. The relevant departments within the Ministry are tasked with overseeing the establishment of the Authority’s structures at all levels.

The Federal Minister directed the National Commission for Youth and Sports Organizations and relevant bodies to implement the decree immediately and complete all administrative and technical requirements.

This move comes within the framework of the Ministry’s vision to enhance the contribution of youth to sustainable development projects and open new horizons for innovation and institutional development within the youth sector in Sudan.
