Khartoum Governor Inspects Restoration of Health and Road Services in Central Khartoump
Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza conducted an extensive field tour today, encompassing the Al-Muqran area, Al-Ghaba Street, and downtown Khartoum. This tour was part of the state government’s efforts to assess the services provided following the extensive damage inflicted on infrastructure.
The tour included the Al-Muqran Health Center, where he inspected the completion of maintenance work as part of the state government’s plan to rehabilitate service facilities.
The Governor directed the swift provision of necessary medical equipment and the reinforcement of the center with medical personnel to facilitate the resumption of services to citizens this week. He emphasized the importance of restoring health facilities to operation, given their fundamental role in stabilizing the living and health conditions of the population.
For his part, the Acting Director General of the Khartoum State Ministry of Health, Dr. Taha Al-Kabashi, announced the completion of all technical and administrative arrangements for the reopening of the Al-Muqran Health Center later this week. He noted that this step is part of the Ministry of Health’s policy aimed at completing the network of primary healthcare facilities and revitalizing the health system in the state.
Al-Kabashi praised the ongoing support provided by the Governor of Khartoum to the health sector, particularly regarding the rehabilitation of damaged health facilities and enabling them to quickly resume providing services to citizens.
In another development, the Governor of Khartoum inspected the rehabilitation work on Al-Ghaba Street, which is part of the state’s infrastructure rehabilitation projects.
The Governor reviewed the ongoing efforts to complete the earthworks, which are nearing completion, in preparation for laying the asphalt layer. This will contribute to improving traffic flow and facilitating the movement of citizens.
The Governor’s tour also included downtown Khartoum, where he observed the removal of debris and rubble, the cleaning of streets and affected areas, and the efforts undertaken by the Khartoum Local Authority to improve the general environment and enhance the urban landscape of the capital. In this context, the governor inspected the rehabilitation work on Al-Qasr Street, emphasizing the need to expedite the work and coordinate among relevant authorities to complete the projects on schedule and to the required quality standards.
Furthermore, the Governor of Khartoum reiterated the state government’s commitment to continuing fieldwork and monitoring the implementation of service and development projects, stressing that the current phase requires concerted efforts to rebuild what the war destroyed and provide essential services to citizens.
