Freni meets Federal Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare

Director General and Acting Minister of the Ministry of Social Development, Siddiq Hassan Freni, welcomed Dr. Mutassim Ahmed Saleh, the Federal Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, during his inaugural visit to the ministry in Khartoum State.

Dr. Mutassim emphasized the necessity of coordination between federal and state ministries across all levels, particularly in social matters. This includes providing care for elderly orphans without support, individuals lacking family care, and other vulnerable groups. He also highlighted the need to implement laws addressing homelessness and begging, formulate comprehensive policies, and establish development funds in municipalities, similar to those in other states.

Freni extended a warm welcome to the visiting minister, noting that the ministry operates under significant challenges amid broader structural transformations within Sudanese society. He affirmed the ministry’s commitment to adapting its objectives, activities, and programs in response to these strategic shifts. Freni expressed his satisfaction with the visit and its implications for addressing forthcoming social issues
