Arrival of a Shipment of Electrical Transformers in Khartoum State

As part of its commitment to providing citizens with accurate information and keeping them informed about recovery efforts, the Media Coordination Council of the Sudan Electricity Company announces the arrival of the first shipment of reconstruction transformers. This shipment includes 400 transformers with high technical specifications and varying capacities, designated exclusively for the rehabilitation of the national grid in Khartoum State.
The Council explained that the arrival of this shipment marks the beginning of the “major phase” of the capital’s reconstruction project. Engineering teams and field platforms will immediately begin replacing damaged transformers and installing new ones in residential neighborhoods and commercial areas, ensuring the expansion of electricity supply and reducing the areas of darkness left by the destruction of the past period.
The Media Coordination Council confirmed that this shipment is the first in a series of successive shipments that will arrive successively to cover all affected sectors. The Council indicates that this equipment was contracted to provide a fundamental solution for the sustainability of the electricity supply and voltage stability in the targeted areas.
