Al-Burhan pledges full support for health and epidemic control, and praises the efforts of the medical staff

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, visited the Federal Ministry of Health at its headquarters on Nile Street in Khartoum this afternoon.

He praised the ministry’s staff and all medical personnel, commending their significant role in the fight for dignity and their continued commitment to providing health services to citizens despite the challenges.

During the visit, Al-Burhan affirmed his commitment to providing full support to the health sector in Sudan, particularly in combating epidemics. He provided the Federal Vector Control Support Team with 15 vehicles (box trucks) for field spraying operations and pledged further support to the Ministry of Health and its personnel, promising significant assistance to hospitals and specialized services across the country.

For his part, the Federal Minister of Health, Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, expressed his gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief and Head of the Sovereignty Council for his attention to the health situation in the country and the substantial support provided. He also presented a comprehensive report on the current health situation in Sudan.
