Al-Burhan directs strengthening relations with China

Head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, issued directives to strengthen and develop relations between Sudan and the People’s Republic of China during his meeting with Ambassador Omar Issa, prior to the latter assuming his new post as Sudan’s ambassador to China.

The meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Muawiya Othman Khalid.

Al-Burhan praised the remarkable progress achieved in relations between the two friendly countries.

In a press statement, Ambassador Omar Issa explained that the directives he received from Head of the Council represent a clear roadmap for his diplomatic work in the coming period. He emphasized the strategic importance of Sudanese-Chinese relations and the support they receive from the leadership of both countries.

He stated that he will dedicate his efforts to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of both the Sudanese and Chinese peoples, affirming that the directives of the Chairman of the Sovereign Council will be the foundation for achieving all programs.
