A joint cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the police to expand health services

The Federal Minister of Health, Prof. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, discussed this morning in his office in Khartoum with the Director of the General Directorate of Medical Services at the Police, Major General Dr. Tariq Hassan Haj Ali, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Ministry and the police to develop and expand health services.

The minister stressed the importance of integrating efforts between the Ministry of Health and the police to ensure that all citizens are provided with treatment without discrimination, noting that the restart of the police hospital in Khartoum represents a pivotal step to cover health gaps, especially with the increasing return of citizens to the capital.

He also announced the accreditation of the hospital as a National Ambulance Center, with the Ministry’s commitment to accelerate the arrangements for its opening soon,
in addition to activating the meetings of the Health Coordination Council.

Major General Dr. Tariq Hassan Haj Ali praised the role of the Federal Ministry of Health in supporting police hospitals and overcoming obstacles, stressing the continuation of joint cooperation between the two sides. He also referred to the damage and looting that affected the hospital during the war, emphasizing the importance of coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the continuity of health services, and heralded the imminent opening of the hospital to serve citizens.
