Turkey Delivers 30,000 Tents to Displaced People in Sudan

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) stated that, given the difficult circumstances in Sudan, the Turkish government has provided exceptional support by donating 30,000 family tents to the IOM to provide urgent shelter for displaced families.
In a press release the IOM added that this support comes at a critical time, offering hope and alleviating the suffering of affected communities.
During the handover ceremony in Mersin, the IOM Chief of Mission in Sudan, Dr. Mohamed Rifaat, said, according to the press release: “Today, I witness a significant contribution from the Turkish government to the people of Sudan.”
He continued, saying that the IOM expresses its sincere appreciation to Turkey for this humanitarian act, which will help families find safety amidst the ongoing conflict.
