The Minister of Higher Education affirms support for the stability of universities

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, pointed out his ministry’s interest in developing the quality of education and scientific research, and linking its outputs to the needs of society, stressing that the next stage requires concerted efforts to ensure the sustainability of higher education and advance its national role.
He pointed out that his ministry seeks, during the next phase, to implement a comprehensive plan to rearrange the status of higher education institutions, based on the stability of the academic calendar, expanding scientific partnerships internally and externally, and promoting digital transformation, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of education, and enable universities to play their national role in reconstruction and development.
This came during his meeting with Prof. Mohieddin Abdullah Hassan, Rector of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences, at his temporary office in Port Sudan, where he discussed the situation of the university and the challenges facing higher education institutions, in addition to ways to enhance the stability of the educational process during the next phase.
For his part, Prof. Mohieddin Abdullah Hassan, Rector of the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences, gave a detailed briefing on the progress of the university’s performance, pointing to the stability of the educational process and the start of studies and exams at its headquarters in the capital, Khartoum, despite the challenges.
