Sudan Participates in the 24th Arab Conference on Modern Methods in Hospital Management in Muscat

Muscat, Oman hosted the 24th Arab Conference on Modern Methods in Hospital Management (Dec 10-11, 2025), focusing on strengthening health systems by integrating public, private, and non-profit sectors, achieving Universal Health Coverage, and managing health disasters, emphasizing cross-sector collaboration for better access and innovation. Organized by Oman’s Ministry of Health & Arab League’s Admin Development Org, it launched the Mohammed Al-Saleem Award for Health Sector Excellence and promoted knowledge exchange, setting strong regional directions for future healthcare cooperation
The official Sudanese delegation represented by the Minister of Health in the Northern State, Dr. Sati Hassan Sati, and the Medical Advisor at the Embassy of Sudan in Cairo, Dr. Khader Abu Bakr, and the delegation met with the Ambassador of Sudan to the Sultanate of Oman on the sidelines of the events.
In press statements after the meeting, Dr. Sati explained that the conference discussed modern methods in hospital management and the role of the private and tertiary sectors in strengthening health systems, with a focus on integration between the public and private sectors to achieve universal health coverage and ensure the financial sustainability of health projects.
The conference also witnessed the launch of the Mohammed Al-Saleem Award for Excellence in the Health Sector to honor researchers in the fields of public health and health management, an initiative that aims to support scientific research and improve the quality of services and patient safety in the Arab world.
Sati stressed that the presence of the Sudanese delegation in this conference reflects Sudan’s keenness to enhance regional and international health cooperation, and benefit from successful experiences in hospital management, in a way that contributes to the development of the national health infrastructure and the improvement of services provided to citizens.
The meeting with the Sudanese Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman came within the framework of supporting bilateral relations and coordinating diplomatic and health efforts between the two countries.
The delegation of Sudan also held a meeting with the Undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari.
Sudan affirmed its position as an active member of Arab health forums, and its endeavor to keep pace with modern developments in hospital management, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable health development and promote Arab integration .
