Minister of Justice: The Sudanese government is dealing openly with all peace initiatives

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Drief, said that what is happening in Sudan is not an internal conflict, as referred to in many narratives, but rather a full-fledged external aggression. He added, “The whole world has witnessed those horrific crimes committed against unarmed citizens by this terrorist militia and its supporters, led by the State of the United Arab Emirates.” This came during his participation in the Doha Forum, which was held under the theme “Consolidating Justice: From Promises to Reality” from December 6-7, 2025, in Doha .
The Minister of Justice referred to the recent announcement of a fictitious authority in Nyala, which was met with condemnation and non-recognition by the world, as a statement was issued by the United Nations recognizing the legitimate government in existence.
He pointing to the issuance of successive statements by the Peace and Security Council, the League of Arab States and many brotherly countries, condemning the matter and refusing to recognize what has been done, stressing the keenness of the international community on the unity of Sudan.
Drief pointed out that the Sudanese government has accepted the Jeddah Platform, and the principles were announced in May 2023, but the terrorist militia did not abide by its terms and violated the truce from the first day, in a clear challenge to the international community and international humanitarian law , adding that , Sudanese government is conducting bilateral dialogues between it and the United States, Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Qatar and other countries.
Minister of Justice said that any initiatives that do not contain these concerns , put forward by the government in the road map are considered inserious and ineffective initiatives and will not produce an impact
