Memorandum of Understanding between the Red Crescent and the Health Insurance

The Khartoum State Health Insurance Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Khartoum State Branch, at the Society’s headquarters in Karri, in the presence and honor of the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Ahmed Al-Tayeb Suleiman, and Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, Executive Director of the Society’s Khartoum State Branch, along with the leaders of the Health Insurance Authority and the Red Crescent Society.

The Acting Director General of the Health Insurance Authority, Mohamed Moussa, stressed the importance of signing memorandums of understanding for partners and expanding population coverage under the umbrella of health insurance as a guarantee and a symbiotic bond in the field of receiving health and medical services, as well as strengthening partnership systems with entities that wish to include their employees in health insurance

in Khartoum State, and said that the memorandum contains many clauses of the agreement and partnership with the Red Crescent Society of Khartoum State.

The Director of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society Khartoum State Branch, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, praised the efforts and competence of the work of the Health Insurance Authority, and its leading role in achieving the goals of social responsibility by providing health services to the employees of private and public institutions .

Adding that the signing of the memorandum of understanding for the employees of the Red Crescent Society, as a first stage, targeted about a hundred families. The immediate delivery of those targeted by the Society to volunteers and families will ensure their inclusion in the umbrella of health insurance in Khartoum State. It was pointed out that the total goal is estimated at more than 20,000 volunteers.

It is worth mentioning that all health insurance cards will be delivered to the targeted number of volunteers in the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Khartoum State Branch.
