Khartoum Governor directs the acceleration of the completion of the Chinese Hospital’s needs in Omdurman and its entry into service

As part of the field tour program to the state’s service units concerned with providing services to citizens, the Governor of Khartoum, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza, conducted a field visit today to the Chinese Hospital in Omdurman, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the State Government, Mr. Al-Hadi Abdel-Sayed Ibrahim, the Director-General of the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, and the Executive Director of Omdurman Locality, Mr. Saif Al-Din Mukhtar.

He inspected the extent of the damage and the technical and administrative needs required to restart the hospital so that it can resume providing medical services to the citizens of Khartoum State, especially since the hospital is a specialized health institution for orthopedic diseases and surgery and represents an important addition to the state’s health system.

The governor received a detailed briefing from the hospital administration on the current situation, including shortages of medical equipment and supplies, the need for maintenance of buildings and departments damaged by the war, and challenges related to infrastructure and support services.

The governor of Khartoum directed that the necessary medical equipment and supplies be procured as quickly as possible and that staff be immediately recalled to ensure the hospital’s readiness to provide medical services as soon as possible. He also emphasized the importance of coordination between the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities to overcome all obstacles hindering the hospital’s reopening.

The governor pledged to complete the hospital’s maintenance work and ensure the operation of the water and electricity treatment units to guarantee the stability of essential services, which will positively impact the quality of healthcare provided to citizens.
