Khartoum/The Citizen

The Director General of the Ministry of Social Development and the Acting Minister, Siddiq Hassan Freni, paid an inspection visit to the Cheshire Home for the Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities to determine the extent of the destruction caused by the Rapid Support Militia in the home. He also inspected the maintenance works in preparation for the return of the home to its activities in the near future.

Freni praised the efforts made to maintain the home so that it can return to providing all services to children with disabilities with a new vision and a new project, especially after the war, which resulted in a number of children with shrapnel still inside their bodies who need treatment and prosthetic limbs.

He directed the various agencies of the Ministry to be active partners and contribute to the rehabilitation of the various departments and directed those in charge of the home to submit an urgent memorandum to determine the needs so that the organizations and other partners can intervene urgently.

Freni visited the social city and the center of Al-Rashad and reviewed the immediate liabilities for the purpose of maintaining and rehabilitating them.
