12 trucks loaded with hope: Sudan launches the largest hospital support project in 11 states

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health praises the robustness of the National Medical Supplies Fund

The Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) has launched the largest shipment of medical support to the states of Sudan, where 12 trucks loaded with medical devices and equipment for operating rooms, intensive care, and emergency rooms were dispatched, reaching 11 states as part of the National Plan to Strengthen the Health System.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Federal Minister of Health, B. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Ali Babiker, and the Director General of the National Medical Supplies Fund , Dr. Badreddine Al-Jazouli, along with the leaders of the Ministry and Medical Supplies, in a step aimed at improving the quality and stability of treatment services in various states.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker, stressed that this national project represents a great achievement in supporting hospitals, praising the robustness of the National Medical Supplies Fund . He added: “Without the strength of the supply, we would not have passed this difficult stage… Despite the challenges, we will continue.”

Babiker pointed out that the launch of these trucks coincides with the holding of the General Directors of Health and Therapeutic Medicine Forum in Sennar State, stressing that the year 2026 will be a stage for recovery, restoration of health, and the development of medical services.

He concluded by sending a message of reassurance to citizens inside and outside Sudan that the country has regained its health strength and that the national project embodies the meaning of resilience and establishes new beginnings in the health sector.
