Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy promises to provide top-priority transformers to Gezira State

Dr. Muhi Al-Din Naeem Mohammed Saeed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy, promised to provide top-priority transformers to Gezira State. This came during his meeting today in his office with the Governor of Gezira State, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair. The meeting discussed the state’s need for transformers, particularly in northern and eastern Gezira.
Muhi Al-Din affirmed that the Ministry is working diligently to provide electricity services to enable citizens to voluntarily return to their homes. He indicated that the Ministry is working on a schedule to provide the top-priority transformers first, and then to address the needs of other affected states.
For his part, the Governor of Gezira State, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, said that our visit to the Ministry of Energy was to provide the urgent need for transformers for Gezira State, which amounts to about 1,300 transformers of different capacities to operate the industrial areas in the north of Gezira and the citizens in the various cities and villages in the north and east of Gezira, stressing that the majority of the residents of Gezira State have returned to the state from displacement and refuge to their areas to rebuild them, and that electricity service is at the forefront of their needs, pointing to the improvement of conditions in the state, appreciating the role of the Ministry of Energy and its staff in Gezira State in working to provide electricity and fuel in the state.
